Check Your League of Legends MMR
Frequently Asked Questions
Find quick answers to the most common questions.

Our tool uses your current division and LP as a base, adjusting the value based on your recent win-loss ratio. High performance pushes the estimate above your visible rank, while lower rates adjust it downward. While the true Riot MMR remains hidden, our system provides a reliable approximation calibrated against extensive match data.

Your rank is the visible badge others see, while MMR is the hidden rating determining your actual skill bracket. They drift apart frequently: on win streaks, your hidden rating climbs faster than your rank, leading to higher LP gains. Our checker estimates exactly where this hidden rating sits compared to your badge.

Based on the gap between your hidden rating and visible rank, we estimate your LP velocity. If your hidden rating significantly exceeds your current rank, you will see higher LP gains per victory and minimal losses, as the system tries to pull you into your true skill bracket.

Checking every 10-20 ranked matches provides the most meaningful trend data. Since your rating shifts gradually, checking after every single game won't show major changes. It is also highly recommended to check after completing a significant win or loss streak to see how your account standing has shifted.

Understanding our Tool

How Does This MMR Calculator Work?

Our MMR calculator isn't just looking at your overall account stats. Instead, it specifically analyzes your last 10 matches in the selected game mode. By examining the average ranks of your opponents and teammates, it determines if you are currently being matched against players above or below your actual division.

The advice you receive is directly calculated based on this high-level data. If your average opponent is Ranked Platinum while you are Gold, the tool recognizes your potential to climb faster. This focused approach provides a more accurate reflection of your current "hidden" skill level rather than your lifetime history.

Climbing Tips

How Can You Boost Your LoL MMR?

Consistent Improvement

Boosting your MMR naturally comes down to winning more games than you lose. To achieve this, focus on analyzing pro-player guides, mastering a small champion pool, and reviewing your own mistakes from previous games. Every win against a higher-ranked lobby significantly boosts your MMR score.

Alternative Paths

Sometimes an account can feel "stuck" due to low LP gains. In these cases, many players choose to start fresh by buying a smurf account. Starting on a clean slate with fresh MMR allows you to climb much faster if your skill level has improved beyond your main account's history.

The Ranking System

Why is MMR Important for Ranked?

MMR (Matchmaking Rating) is the core engine behind the League of Legends ranking system. It dictates exactly how much LP you gain or lose. If your MMR is higher than your visible rank, the system tries to "pull" you up by giving you +25 LP or more per win while only taking away -15 LP for a loss.

Conversely, if your MMR falls below your rank, your climb becomes much steeper as gains decrease and losses hurt more. While Riot keeps the official MMR hidden, our tool provides a highly reliable indication of where your account stands and who you'll likely face in your next match.

MMR Nuances

Does ARAM and Normal MMR Matter?

Queues for ARAM and Normal games have their own separate MMR systems. Generally, they do not directly influence your Ranked MMR once you have started playing ranked games. However, for a fresh account, your performance in Normal games can help determine your initial placement seed.

While playing against high-ELO players in ARAM or Normals can help sharpen your mechanical skills, it won't fix a "broken" Ranked MMR. To fix your Ranked MMR, the only solution is to consistently win in Ranked queues against opponents that the system deems challenging for your current division.
